Made out of Corten steel, the Mahuika will take centre stage of your outdoor entertaining space to ensure a warm and relaxing experience for you and your guests.

Our range of outdoor fireplaces are named after the Maori fire deity, Mahuika. Maui was sent to retreive Mahuika’s firey fingernails from the underworld and bring them to earth to provide fire for warmth, lighting and cooking.

Coreten is a 'weathering steel’ - as the steel forms a protective layer on its surface under the influence of the weather; and it is this protective layer that gives Corten far superior resistance to atmospheric corrosion.

Designed for both safety and functionality, our fire pits feature a cut groove around the edge. This innovative design keeps cooking drips from running off the edge while creating a cooling break that directs air between the hot cooking plate and the edge, forming a safety barrier of cooler steel around the fire pit.

Worried about the elements? Our fire pit comes complete with a weatherproof canvas cover to protect it year-round. The top plate, engineered specifically for cooking, is made from 8mm thick steel and features a machined break around the edge. This break not only reduces heat transfer to the edge closest to your guests but also ensures cooking juices drain back into the bowl, enhancing your culinary experience.

For added convenience, the built-in wood storage in the stand keeps logs within easy reach and protected from moisture, ensuring a hassle-free lighting experience.
